save the fish

Speaking of salmon. Caryn encourage eating salmon rather than shark fins? I do understand how the agenda of killing sharks are terrible but have you noticed that salmons are also in big trouble?

If Earth’s ocean is a human, like us, then it would have to go to the hospital and will receive intensive care. The World Conservation Union listed 1,081 endangered fish. Almost half percent of Pacific salmons are extinct and others are depleted. Of course we need something to eat. I just ate fish as lunch. Well… it was a bit salty so I didn’t finish them and blamed my dad. He said he put too much salt accidentally. But I feel bad. I threw them away even I knew that fact that eating fish is just killing the environment :(
So I regret. Lol. Why am I talking about this? Anyways.
Fish has great nutrient values. They have much kind of vitamins, protein, fat… but ultimately, majority of them cause osteoporosis (did I spell right? :S) and other problems in our kidneys. Ooh. Heart problems too! FISH ARE NOT RISK-FREE INDULGENCES.

When mankind first born in the earth, I know that their only choice to eat was from nature. Fish. Vegetable. Meat… and we still need. That’s why when we look at the food pyramid; fish is in the important place. Second stage if I remember correctly?? :S
But according to the statistics, nowadays we are consuming twice as much protein as is recommended. Our taste for fish far away exceeded nature’s ability. Let’s see they provide 50 amounts of fish to us. Another 50 needs to survive so that they can reproduce for future generations. Just like us. Humans. Fish is not a food that we eat. It is NOT the reason why they are born and it is not the reason why they are living in this earth with us. Look at salmons. They take tough journeys to get into the way of reproducing and sacrifice themselves for the next generations!

Humans are so greedy. They are the reasons that drive many kind of fishes into extinction. I won’t use they. I’ll use We. Because it’s all our faults. We are now living in industrialized society. And we catch fish. Whole bunch of them. too many fish using all those advanced techniques like using ultrasound to sense them easily. 80~90% of the fish in the entire ocean are caught! And fish started to lose their ability to continue on their lives. and only those fish that we don’t really eat are left. so the profit that fishermen gain started to go down and down and down and down and down~ so they catch more fish over and over and over and over to get more money. $$. Where the hell is the end?? =x

I'm not saying let's dont eat fish ever. I'm just saying that salmons are not in a safety situations as well. They are also in danger as much as sharks.

Caryn influenced me. she changed me to think as an environmenist.
she always influences me. always.

Have i influenced you before, caryn???

How to Cope with the Loss of a Pet Rock

(Found on some really awesome website with helped me overcome my grief)

Losing a loyal friend is always upsetting. Losing a Pet Rock is even worse, because you have spent so much time with them. They have been your constant companion and trusted friend. You could talk to them, and know that they would never tell anyone what you told them in secret. When they die, make sure they are buried someplace with lots of other rocks, so they will not be lonely.
Steps
  1. Bury your rock. If your rock has died, find a nice spot in your garden to bury him. If you have an area which contains a lot of other rocks, bury them there. Mark that spot in some way or another - burying an old spoon with the bit you eat off sticking out of the ground is an ideal gravestone.
  2. Remember your rock. If you have lost your rock, plant a flower in remembrance of them.
  3. Listen to really depressing music. Don't try to cheer yourself up for at least three days. You will drop back down to reality with a thud. Be really miserable. It is respectful to your rock. Slowly cheer up. That way,you won't get sudden pangs of mourning.
  4. Begin again. After at least a fortnight you can get a new rock!!!!!
Tips:
  • Classical music can make you really miserable.
  • Other things that can make you really miserable include homework, thinking about lost items, best friends who have moved away and how you never gave your rock a good life, and so on.
